How do I return an item?

Used items are covered by a 30 day in store warranty. We will repair or issue store credit at our discretion.

New items are generally covered under various manufacturer warranties. In the event that you need to seek warranty repair or replacement, we will work with you to make sure that you receive the services you deserve.

We want to make sure that you are completely satisfied with all your purchases at Centaur Guitar. Returns may be made for 100% store credit within the following conditions:

  • Any returns must be processed within 30 days of purchase.
  • If the item being returned was purchased online the purchaser must contact Centaur Guitar within 10 days of receiving the item to request a RMA number (Returned Merchandise Authorization) and the return must be received within 30 days of its initial ship date.
  • Any shipping costs accrued during the return process will be the responsibility of the purchaser unless agreed upon in advance.
  • The original receipt must be presented in order for the return to be processed.
  • All returned items must be in exactly the same condition as when purchased including all original packaging, manuals, and any accessories. New items must be in new and unaltered condition without showing signs of wear or damage in any way and returns will not be accepted on items that have already been registered for manufacturer's warranty.
  • Harmonicas are non-returnable. (Once it hits your lips it's yours!)
  • Amplifier tubes and speakers are also non-returnable.
  • Returns may be made for store credit only.
  • Any trade credit will be refunded as store credit only. Due to the reports that we are required to file with the Portland Police we are unable to return merchandise once it's been traded in.
  • If you are unable to return an item to the store yourself, returns and exchanges may be sent in. Any shipping charges will be the customer's responsibility in both directions.
