A very big thank you to everyone who came out this weekend for the first of our Summer parking lot shows! We had a great time and are looking forward to the next ones already. Extra special thanks to Legend of Dutch Savage, The Decliners, 48 Thrills, and New Jangles for rocking our collective socks off.

NOW WITH AIR CONDITIONING!!
That's right, baby! Centaur Guitar is the proud new owner of an 18,000 BTU Kenmore air conditioner!
Ok, maybe that's not a big deal to you, but after sitting in this hot box sweltering for the past week, we're all thrilled!!
We'd like to take a moment to personally invite everyone out there to come on down to the shop this Saturday, July 12th from 3-7pm for the first of our Summer Parking Lot Concerts!! This will be our third year of free, all ages, outdoor concerts and we're proud to welcome:

CENTAUR GUITAR IS CLOSING!
We will be closed July 4th, 5th, and 6th while pause to reflect on the things that make this country great:
Beer,Hot Dogs,&Fireworks.
We will also be rearranging/remodeling the store (again).
We will reopen on Monday July 7th with normal hours (10-7) for the rest of the summer.
We would like to take a moment to welcome Wire Audio Electronics Repair into the Centaur family. Wire Audio is a professional electronics (read amplifier) repair shop run by Eric Hold. Eric has 17 years of experience servicing tube & soid state amplifiers, as well as mixers, pa's, keyboards, effects...
That means that in addition to serving all of your other needs and desires, we have in-house amp repair!
By the way, did everyone know that Centaur Guitar is also home to Pat Kearns' Permapress Recording? Pat has been a great friend of ours for years and now he's here to help you with all your recording needs.
For all you musician's out there, there's a bar next door, cheap rent up and down 28th, and the Tonic Lounge up the street! You'll never have to leave our happy little corner of Sandy Blvd!!!

I believe that we can all accept the fact that many fine things grow finer with age. Things like hot dogs, shrimp burritos, and maybe
the socks that I've been wearing since last Saturday. Now we can ad to those ranks our very own Kelly Manahan who celebrates his 41st
birthday today.
Kelly will be at the store all day accepting free drinks and reciprocating with free hugs. But I guess hugs are always free
from Mr. Manahan. It's just how he is...

Summertime gave us a sneak peak last week and got us thinking about doing some more Parking Lot Rock!! For those of you new to the
area or unfamiliar with our ways, for the past two years Centaur Guitar has hosted a series of Free, All Ages, Outdoor Concerts in our
parking lot. And, well... We're doing it again!
This year we've enlisted the services of our good friend and longtime Centaur supporter Jody to help with the booking and management.
Interested parties may email Jody for information about getting involved.
These shows have been a great oppurtunity for us to meet the friends and families of many of our favorite bands and customers.
The first show will be on Sunday, July 6th and we'll be switching to Saturdays for the rest of the summer through Labor Day Weekend!

Centaur Guitar is now carrying Electroharmonix Effects! We're excited with the selection we have so far and are looking forward
to getting more pedals in soon! For those of you who have yet to check out the new Nano and XO series of EH effects, come on down
and give them a whirl. Many of them are the same great effects as the older large scale pedals but packed into more manageable boxes.
We've also started carrying the new line of effects by Devi Ever (Formerly Effector 13). Fantastic fuzzes and joystick effects for
adventurous musicians.
Our Moog orders finally came in and we're FULLY STOCKED on all of the Moogerfoogers and we have Theremins again! We're expecting a shipment
from HomeBrew Electronics early next week as well. Come on down and try out all this good stuff!

Alright Everybody!! Well, nobody can say that we can't procrastinate with the best of them. It's one week before our
three year anniversary and we finally have the party plans all lined up. Be here next weekend for some rockin' good times
with a bunch of awesome bands.

We've just started carrying the full line of Black Box Effects
- HOORAY!! Our need for new, kick ass effects has been filled
- at least for the moment. Black Box is the brainchild of
Lorren Stafford. He started designing these effects after
he realized that there were really no effects on the market
that filled the needs of instruments other than guitar. Black
Box is currently manufactured by Ooh La La manufacturing,
a small Minneapolis based company manufacturing just a couple
lines of effects for designers who wanted to focus on design.
For those of you in the know, Jason Myrold of Zvex fame is
painting all of the OohLaLa products and they look awesome!
Check out the pedals we have available online to see some
samples.
The bottom line is, we've tried these pedals and we love them. If you have any questions or would like an in hand description, give us a call.

Centaur Guitar is now a state licensed pawn shop. What this
means for our customers is that from here on out, when in
need of a few extra dollars, we offer an option other than
selling your gear. We promise to take care of your gear like
it was our own - better, in fact. We have a heated, secure
storage area where your gear will be kept until it's returned
to you.
