As everyone knows Brian Setzer and the sounds he gets from his Gretsch.  You love his tone. Who doesn’t? I mean his rockabilly tone, mind you. It’s a little gainey, a little dirty, but very full. The best is his hybrid picking.

Only his method isn’t so much “hybrid” because he tucks the pick into his hand and uses his thumb to pick the bass notes while his other fingers play the treble notes. But going from flat to fingerstyle, there’s still a fullness to it. A fullness you will not get if you play at home. Not unless you’re using the same rig he is which includes a Roland Space Echo.

The reason this is the case is because the Roland has an interesting pre amp in the front of it that lends a great deal to his tone. It really fattens up the signal and makes for a more pleasant tone all around. The problem is he also plugs into TWO Fender Bassmans and plays at a ridiculous volumes!
Well, this pedal is that preamp from the Space Echo.  Very subtle and luscious sounding.  Yup, you too can sip from the kings cup!  Turn up and turn on baby!
