What the hell is a vocal formant filter?!

We’re kind of like cavemen around this place. We enjoy distortion, fuzz, drive, and gain. Thick and rich, gritty and biting. So when we received TWA’s new Little Dipper vocal formant filter the reaction went something like this:

J: Hey guys check it out! The new Little Dipper vocal formant filter is here!
 

K: Little Dipper? I hear that’s what they call your…

G: What the hell is a vocal formant filter?!

J: It’s a cool new dual filter effect based on a classic 70’s circuit that reacts dynamically to your playing and creates a variety of funky vowel and diphthong vocal effects!

K: Diphthong? I hear that’s what they call your…

G: You mean like the classic funk sounds that I’ve always tried to get by combining a wah pedal, a talk box, and a phaser?!

J: Yeah!

G: Damn.

J: Double Damn!

K: Damn, Damn.
